Thoughts

I find myself spending more time on the computer programming than I ever used to.

I want to buy a computer and install Linux on it, but I don't know if I'll regret it later. For one, the art program I use, Paint Tool Sai v.2, is not available on Linux, however I've heard that there's a way to run it...

!!! I have an old laptop from 2015 that broke down last year with an infinite "Thread Stuck In Driver" loop. If I can somehow get it OUT of that loop, I could maybe install Ubuntu on it...

Unless that's not an option. I have 5 days off so I have time to figure that out.

Edit: SO I'm downloading the .iso file to my USB stick...hopefully I can try this out today.

Edit 2: I GOT IT WORKING! Let's gooooooooooooooooo!!

I had no idea it was going to be this hard to connect to the internet...I still can't get it working...

:lain_cry:

Edit: Guess who's typing this on their laptop with Ubuntu installed ;)))

God damn it, one of the arrow keys is stuck. I can't fix it. I don't have compressed air, or a brush of any kind to clean under the key, though I've tried to clean under the key (to no avail). I'll look into it tomorrow, but for now, the laptop is pretty much useless; I can't do anything without spending 15 minutes trying to go to a fucking webpage. Hell, sometimes the damn thing won't boot up at all because of this stupid fucking arrow key! Ugh, I am so mad.

It's crazy to think that at the height of schizophrenia Terry Davis documented his code better than over 99% of developers.

Soooo, I removed the key...and broke it in the process of doing so...well, my dad did, but it's not his fault (he's not too tech savvy and he's never properly used a computer before) so I don't blame him. But hey, the key (that is no longer there) isn't doing the thing anymore! I just need to replace the rubber cup, since it's gone now...I think that was the problem, I think it was the rubber cup that did the thing.

Go back home?
